Fashion Friday

Today I was looking for what was the "latest" news in fashions, what's going on today, or right this very minute even. I found a few stories and read a lot of articles and decided to pick one of these I read from the Vogue website. They are right now preparing to launch this new label. This "little known brand" as Vogue stated in this article is called Cécile, it is a new British label. This new line was created by a small group of experts in the fashion industry. They mentioned no names in the article, apparently the designers of this new found label wants to remain anonymous. A tshirt was being worn by one of Vogue's cover girl models during fashion week in Paris. The creators of this collection are happy that models of today that are popular are wearing this new line and that people are slowly but surely recognizing the clothing.

It's interesting how the label of this new brand got originated. One of the experts in the group picked this name which was inspired by their grandmother. Cécile was "an eccentric artist, who was often seen dressed head-to-toe in animal prints." I have no problems with head-to-toe animal print, this woman sounded pretty fashionable to me. Besides this bit of inspiration, this group of experts wanted to bring something different to the market. They felt right now something new needed to be brought into the industry and introduced for this upcoming season. They wanted to give fashion lovers more pieces to  their wardrobe that could work with a lot they already owned. They want one piece to be able to mix and match with multiple pieces of clothing, but still have each outfit have a different look and style to it. "The team, who are based in London, describe the label as "bold, luxe street, French and not too serious with a side of mange tout"" Which I get the first half of this description of their clothing but not the very end of it HA! BUT ANYWAYS from the looks of it and reading this article this line seems very chic and wearable. These pieces I saw on the website are for their Autumn/Winter season for later this year. Are you ready to see what they have?
