Mascara Monday

It's Monday again already... weekends definitely go by way to fast.  There seems to never be enough time in the day.. but ANYWAYS. This Makeup Monday, I decided to focus on mascara and found some tips I would like to share with all of you.

1) Thin & short brushes surprisingly are the best to work with. A thinner brush allows you to get into the corner of eyes. Short brushes give you more control.

2) To avoid smearing your mascara or smudging any under your eye, apply powder under your eyes before applying mascara. Mascara is more likely to smudge when you have oily concealer on.

3) I always have a problem with my mascara clumping on my lashes! To avoid this, zig-zag the wand back and fourth to result in less clumps.

4) DO NOT pump your wand in and out of your mascara. This will bring air into the tube which will bring more bacteria into your mascara and dry it out way faster.

5) Last tip I have for you today, to help separate your lashes before even applying mascara, try using mascara primer. It helps separates your lashes and makes it easier when you want to start applying your mascara. Adding primer does take more time, but if it's for a special occasion or a date;) it might be worth it to take the time so your lashes look extra fabulous.

SO since I haven't been posting much, which I am totally sorry about and am trying to post more frequently, I am posting a couple times today to make up for lost times! Here are some cool nail design ideas that I found and wanted to share with my followers. I would like to attempt some of these if I can. Have any of you done your own nails and added unique designs? Comment, send me pictures, or tell me techniques if so! I love seeing and hearing new ideas/designs for nails. Happy Manicure Monday, go treat yourself to a manicure!

Makeup Monday

What makeup styles are going on this week? Anything new in the beauty world you have seen and want to try? I am still learning about makeup and how to apply it personally to my skin and features. Like I have said in the past, I love tutorials and I like pictures of styles so I can try and copy it. A lot of makeup styles to me always look pretty in the pictures, then when I attempt them, it just is a disaster.. haha. ANYWAYS... Here are some random makeup tips I thought would be helpful for some of the "amateur" makeup artists like myself who need some help & for others that I am sure feel the same way I do sometimes! Hope some of these tips are helpful to you guys!

-Ladies who like having some color and shine, here is a tip for the bronze beauties.
For clarity and color, use cream bronzer to highlight your eyes, lips, and cheeks.
-If you want to widen the appearance of your eyes and make them POP, ALWAYS ALWAYS curl them. Besides using mascara, curling them before applying mascara will help them look longer and fuller.
-To the girls who like wearing eyeliner and/or having the smokey eye look, apply the liner with your finger first, then use the point to line the inner rim of the lid.
-Have stellar cheek bones but yet don't know how to show them off? Use white eye shadow as a highlighter.
-Whenever I want to apply eyeshadow, I always use too much or I don't apply it correctly. To make this easier for you,  tap or smear it on your hand first and this will help with blending and the look of the color.
-Want your lips to look luscious with color but still look somewhat natural? After applying lipstick/lipstains, press color in with your fingers to make the overall effect more natural.

Hope these easy tips help, I know some of them might be common knowledge for some, but hey these tips helped me so I hope they helped some of you!

Jellys are Back to Play

Remember Jellys? I sure do! Especially back in the 90's growing up. I was a 90's wild child,  and we always had the most outrageous and unique trends going on during that time. Jelly shoes are one thing I  definitely remember, but I thought when they were gone.... they would STAY GONE. BUT hey guess I was wrong! Jellys are back to play this Spring! I must say, they have put more of a "stylish" twist to these "new" shoes. Are you going to participate in a fashion blast from the past? Or are you going to just sit back and lay low during this repeating trend? I for one have been on the fence about it, but hey fashion repeats itself a lot doesn't it... there must be a reason... I guess it's up to YOU personally if that reason is a good one or bad.. HAHA.

Photography Friday

Happy Friday Everyone!

It's been a long and busy week for me, I apologize for the lack of posts. This upcoming week you will be getting plenty of posts, I will make sure of it! Today is a lazy Friday for me, I have the day off but unfortunately I have been sick with a cold the past couple days.. Spending the rest of the weekend in my bed is not exactly how I would like it to be. BUT ANYWAYS.. To occupy my day, I just have been internet surfing and looking up photography. I love fashion photography, especially black and white. I would love to learn how to take striking photos eventually with my camera I currently have. Hopefully with this nice weather coming up and the seasons changing, I will be able to take more photos and get more photo shoots up on my site.

Here is some fashion photography I am a fan of and I really enjoyed. I have a board on pinterest that is named "photography." Check it out, follow me on pinterest and look at what else I have to offer on that page. Hope everyone enjoys there Friday and has a fun filled and relaxing weekend!
