10 Things The Kardashians Do That You Shouldn't

1)Don’t Diss America’s Sweetheart

OK, we all remember when Kayne West bolted on stage at the VMA’s and took over the mic from Taylor Swift. Everyone hated him for years and thought he was completely out of line, yet that obviously didn’t bother Kim. So what did we learn from this incident, don’t try to take T-Swifts spotlight by being entitled.

2) Don’t Open Your Bedroom to the World

It’s okay to be to scandalous with your man in private, but to let everyone see it without thinking of the consequences is just stupid. Don’t become famous by a sex tape, actually work for what you want.

3) Kylie Lip Challenge: Bring Out the Duck Face

This goes without saying, just don’t do it! Don’t be that girl on the internet thats known for looking absolutely ridiculous because Kylie Jenner did it.

4) Kardashian for President

When you cant even handle yourself, don’t think you can the world, or even Glendale for that matter. How about working on your life before you think you can lead others.

5) Intensional nip slip

Have some self respect, post pictures where people remember it for you and not your body parts. PAY ATTENTION, don't be careless, your reputation comes from your actions, people remember EVERY scandal.

6) Annoying Selfies

Don’t have “selfie parties”, know your limit. Be aware of how much your posting, don’t give people reasons to hate you even more.

7) Feeling 22 with Plastic Surgery

SO let’s just say an ideal present for your 22nd birthday wouldn't be breast implants or a complete face lift. Don’t pull a Kardashian by re-constructing your face or body. Feel beautiful in your own skin and be proud of your appearance.

8) Saying “I do” Has consequences

Remember marriage is for two people that are in love and want to spend their lives together! Don’t just get married because you want to be noticed, get married because your in love! Every girl wants to have a huge wedding and wants to feel like a princess, but wait for that right guy and the right time. DON’T RUSH LOVE, love will happen when its meant to.

9) So I think I’m Pregnant

Be safe and be responsible. When you take one pregnancy test and it says positive +, I am 99% sure that your pregnant, you don’t need to double, triple, or check 20 times to get the confirmation of have a baby in your stomach. Know what you got yourself into and prepare yourself for a life changing experience.

10) “Tipsy Yoga” in Public

Yoga is a fun and relaxing way to relieve stress, it is also great exercise. Yoga isn't for people that are trying to get attention or disturb your “zen.” Get a drink after yoga, yoga and wine just don’t mix.

Pastel Hair Colors: Color of your Dreams or Epic Nightmare?

We all know spring is here, and that means pastel colors! Pastels are so pretty this time of year considering we have been so used to dreary and dark colors from winter. We finally can get away from the darkness and brighten up our days. Mints, lilacs, and cotton candy pink, have been showing up not only in apparel and cosmetics, but hair colors are making the Spring transition as well. When I think of pastels, I think of delicate flowers, a sun dress or maybe even gel polish for my next manicure, but I wouldn't consider pastels as a color of choice for my hair. Keeping up with your hair is hard enough as it is with highlights, coloring, styling, cutting, etc. I can only imagine the keep up and the struggles it truly takes to get the perfect pastel shade.

Many celebrities have been opening their arms completely to this new hair trend and most are having fun with it. Some completely transformed their color fully or some did an ombre to have the color be a bit more subtle. Using these delicate Spring colors can be fun, but time consuming and more of a hassle rather than a help to change your look. Most celebrities that have done this don't look too bad, but I'm sure it took them more than once to get it to where they imagined it.

The reality of this pretty pastel hair trend is that it's pretty for a short while, but the maintenance and after math of it all is probably more stressful. To keep your hair color healthy and vibrant, your hair needs to be moisturized to get the full advantage of the color. Color lightning is actually the most damaging hair coloring process you can do to your hair, compared to changing a light color to a more vibrant color. I think the idea is fun and maybe worth trying with clip in extensions or temporary hair dye that washes off in the shower, but to make that permanent pastel color commitment is a lot to take on. So, if your thinking of making a drastic or even slightly new hair color, truly think about the maintenance and time it will consume from you to keep up with it before you take that style plunge.

Here are some photos of celebs that took the plunge to pretty pastel hair. What do you think?

Shades for Spring

I finally bought my very first pair of Ray Bans! So exciting and I love them, very successful shopping trip I'd say. I was not planning on making this purchase, but I have been looking at them for a while and thought it was time to take the plunge. Sunnies are trending in all shapes, colors, and sizes now. Some are more funky than others, but regardless of your style, you need a new pair for Spring! Along with some new sunglasses, I thought I'd try some new lip colors as well. NYX has some great shades for Spring, and I needed something different to try. NYX has such a large selection and there prices are super affordable!

Here are my Ray Bans I purchased, and some other sunglasses that I put on my sunglasses wish-list.

Also, here are the names of the new lip colors I purchased, I love them and would recommend them to anyone wanting to try a new lip color thats bold and fun for Spring!

Oh Hollywood

Today I decided to go for a hike on this beautiful day in LA. The sun is out, I'm driving down sunset boulevard with my sun roof open, looking in the distance at endless palm trees and the hollywood sign. I sometimes forget how beautiful this city is because I don't always have the time to truly enjoy the scenery, but today I did. Driving around LA, there are so many beautiful sights, street art, people, architecture, etc. In this city of dreams, we sometimes are so busy living our lives, we forgot about the dreams we came here to accomplish. We get caught up in our daily routines and don't let our minds and imagination wander. We let our imaginations go stale, but today opened my eyes again, I need to really look around and appreciate where I am. I truly need to experience everything I can that California and LA have to offer me, today is the start of a new day in my fashion journey.

From FIDM to Reality

Happy Monday Everyone! I hope everyone has been enjoying their time off for "Spring Break" from school or work! I was in desperate need for a vacation after I finished my classes at FIDM in March!  I am proud to say I am finished with my marketing degree & am apart of the FIDM ALUMNI! Receiving another fashion degree from the NUMBER 1 fashion school on the West Coast is  beyond exciting and is such a rewarding experience. I am so beyond proud of my successes and the obstacles I overcame during this fashion journey. I can't wait to see what my future in the fashion industry brings. I went home to NY for two weeks to visit close friends & family for my spring break and it was exactly what I needed to relax, celebrate, and get my head back on straight for what I need to do now. It's now that time to put away those bikinis and flip flops, and get back to reality. Fortunately for me, I live in California, so I only have to put mine away until the weekends.. for now..:) (Sorry to rub it in guys!)

Sunday Funday was yesterday, to "celebrate" my first weekend back to California I figured it was a good time to enjoy a beach day since I don't know what my schedule will be like for me in my near future. I want to enjoy the sun, palm trees, people around me, and really experience Los Angeles in a different way than I have been. I am more open to opportunities and adventures now that I have more time in my schedule for it. Don't get me wrong though, I have time for play, but my mind is on work most of the time. I am currently looking for jobs in the fashion industry, and I am excited to see where I will end up. Being in the fashion world is brutal, it is very competitive and you need to be one step ahead in this fashion game. Being creative, unique, and fun is also a must, you need to open your eyes to what is going on around you, what are people doing, what's trending, what are people hating on, what do people love, etc. Paying attention to whats around you daily and keeping up with social media is crucial to keeping your head above water in the fashion industry.

Don't lose track of your goals, don't lose track of who you are or your individuality. Appreciate the uniqueness in fashion and style, soak in all the knowledge you can about what you love. If your a fashion enthusiast like myself, or your passionate about something else,  never lose track of what you truly want. Have goals for yourself, you will accomplish them in time! Give yourself time, timing, hard work, and knowledge are crucial to succeeding in any area of life. Know that their is a plan for you, you will get to where you want to be when your meant to get there, don't rush experiences! Take every opportunity thrown at you, deal with every obstacle with grace, and don't lose who you are in the process. Life is a struggle, but without struggle there is no progress right?

Some images from my trip home/my weekend beach adventure!
