Diane Von Furstenburg

Unfortunately it is Sunday and this means to most of us, back to work or school tomorrow. SO  I thought hey, to "brighten" up our Sunday, I found some bright fashions that could bring some light to your day.

Well I was looking through one of my favorite fashion sites and magazine, Glamour. I was looking at there "top 10 most wearable fashions for Spring of 2013." I already new funky sunglasses, bright colored glasses, jeweled sunglasses, and anything else in between was perfectly acceptable for this upcoming season. Diane Von Furstenburg's Spring show really caught my eye. I have looked at some of the fashion show's throughout these past couple months, but the sunglasses I found from this Glamour article were from her show.

Her show in my opinion was outstanding. Many magazines and articles said her collection was "ready-to-wear." She had flattering silhouettes with neon colors, which like I mentioned before, bright colors are always acceptable in the Spring/Summertime. Of course with this collection she was spot on relateable with many of her fans and fellow fashionista followers. These outfits were not only wearable, but they were realistic to many womens styles I thought. She took us all back in time with her 70's inspired collection. Obviously, I was not physically there at this show, but you know what they say,"pictures can say a thousand words." These pictures of her show "screamed" more than a thousand words to me. Her outfits were funky, fun, bright, and made you feel like you were back in the 70's These ladies on her runway could have walked off and went to a dance club with these stellar outfits!

Besdies her outfits being phenonimal, she had some unique glasses herself. I don't know if any of you have heard about these glasses "Google" has been working on. I have heard about them for the last year or so. On my local radio station they were talking about them when they were first being "introudced" and discussed to being made and available to the public. These glasses are called "Google Glass", apparently they are very high-tech and "futuristic." Furstenburg was rocking these shades as she took her bow down the runway after her show. People were wondering what exatly were those shades capable of doing? WELL these "futuristic" glasses were filiming the footage of the show behind the scenes, basically where she went, the glasses were recording every move she made during/before/after the show. These glasses are amazing and I can't wait to see what the price of these are going to be when they are introuduced to the public. Would you buy these new "Google Glass" specs?

Here are some photographs from her show.

T.G.I.F "Casual Friday"

T.G.I.F "Casual Friday"
T.G.I.F. Finally it's Friday! Time to dress comfy & relax.. BUT hey it is the weekend, so don't forget to throw in some fun with friends:) I will be working all weekend:( but hopefully I'll find some time and energy to have some fun!

I researched a little bit on how "Casual Friday" came about and here is what I found out.. "Casual Friday" was actually rooted from California. The name was based off of there "business culture." This "trend" I guess you can call it started in the late 90s/early 2000's. This idea of casual dress originally starting with the Americans/Canadians,caught on through the rest of the world and spread throughout businesses

ThrowBack Thursday:Don't you just love the 90's?

Happy Thursday everyone...one day closer to Friday, thank goodness! I'm sure everyone knows today is Throwback Thursday(most people refer it to) or whatever other name you want to call it fine, maybe your name is more creative. ANYWAYS, I figured since today is TBT, I wanted to post some fashions from when I was growing up in the 90's. I miss my old cartoons from the 90's, our classic toys that no one can replicate, and all those embarrassing clothes our parents say we wanted to wear when really the forced us to wear them against our will. 90's were the best years to have your childhood be in, the only other decade I think I would have enjoyed would have been the 70's. I mean if the 70's were anything like "That 70's Show" (which I'm sure they were but with less people calling each other "dumb asses" & being so funny) I would have enjoyed it. Here are some of the trends I remembered wearing (unfortunately) and some trends I forgot about thinking... god please don't let these ever come back into style.

P.S. As I was searching, I was thinking about the music I listened to, and the shows I watched. SO I added some pictures of Clueless, Spice Girls, and Sclub7 to the mix.. I couldn't help myself!

Lights, Camera, Oscars

Lights, Camera, Oscars
SO I know I am a little late talking about the Oscars.. BUT I love looking at all the celebrities on the red carpet before the event starts and see whose wearing what. I had a few celebrities I was looking forward to seeing. Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston.  I usually LOVE what they wear to special events, also I think they are fun actresses! The ladies on the red carpet were very versatile and I enjoy seeing different styles from elegant, to sexy, to a little more risqué.  These types of occasions are always fun to just watch the fashions & hear the gossip afterwards if anything exciting/embarrassing happened! HA! I am the first one to watch E! right after or read articles online the next day. Gotta keep up with the good stuff and gossip right? Here are some pictures of the fabulous ladies that night!

This is NEW for me

This blog is my first blog I ever really tried putting together. I previously just graduated with my associates degree is Fashion Merchandising Management. Currently I took a semester off to figure out where and what I want to do with my future. Now I figured out the direction I want to go in and am applying to a few colleges. I am excited to see what this new year brings. This blog is meant for me to use my creativity, show my enthusiasm for fashion, bring out my passion for style and show people what I can do. I love styling and creating outfits that maybe I would wear or that I would want to wear but don't think I can pull off. I am obsessed with Chanel and leopard print, so those two favorites might be in a lot of my posts, sorry in advance! haha:) Also I am going to try and keep my followers/fellow "fashionista's" updated with the latest trends, the latest news in fashion, and anything else in between about my life I want to share. I hope you all enjoy what I post, but remember this is my first time doing a blog so I might mess up once in a while! I am hoping to post daily, but if I do not I will try my best to make up for it. Thanks everyone!
