AMAS: From the red carpet to the stage.

The AMA'S that aired previously on Sunday  I thought it was the best one yet. Celebrities from Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj, One Direction, Imagine Dragons, Nick Jonas, Jennifer Lopez, Taylor Swift & so many more walked the red carpet & most also took the stage to perform some breath taking performances of this year. Taylor swift broke out the show with her new single Blank Space, her performance was so emotional & flowed perfectly with her song, she told a story throughout her performance and it was great to see that side of her on stage. Taylor Swift not only opened the show, but she also received a the prestigious award of the first-ever Dick Clark Award for Excellence presented to her by legendary Diana Ross. Taylor swift was so genuinely grateful & deserved to receive that award. Her career has been a great journey to follow & I am happy that she was awarded for her great actions she does for her career & her fans. Ariana Grande was another favorite of mine, she chose to slow down her musical choice & combine her most popular songs into a ballet. She looked stunning in her "promiscuous" gown with showing some skin, but the gown looked so elegant on her, she pulled it off with her performance perfectly. Her outfit in that performance was one of my favorites of the night. Iggy Azalea was another rock star performing Sunday night, she was spitting out her lyrics & brought her game to that performance of her new song Beg for It. She really worked the stage & had a powerful performance in my opinion, out of the two performances she did that night, her Beg for it definitely took the win for me. Of course, I have to incorporate my girl Nicki, she looked stunning on the red carpet as always, & both of her  performances she did including her new song Bed of Lies, along with her other popular hit BANG BANG with Ariana Grande & Jessie J. They all killed it on stage & Nicki was definitely in my top favorites for the night.  Hey, I guess we can't forget the guys of the night, when I can say One Direction isn't in my top list of favorite artists, they pulled out 3 award winnings at the AMA'S, this year apparently was a great year for them, and the girls continue to drool over these English native pop stars. Also, Imagine Dragons pulled off a stellar performance with a trippy light show & really brought the crowd to their feet, they had the most eye catching performance of the night I'd say.  The AMA'S was all about fashion, entertainment, and of course music, this AMA'S of 2014 I think was the best one by far. All of the performances were extraordinary, each of them had their own individuality & created their own stories to show the audience.  The audience and fans from inside & outside of the show seemed to me ex tactic with the show and the celebrities that were chosen to attend.

You didn't think I was going to stop there did you? I still havent shown you my favorites of the night for best dressed, a lot of my favorite outfits were the long gowns with the large slits down the side. Hey girl if you got it flaunt it, show those legs girl. Many celebrities that night were definetly dressed for the occasion, & all seem very intrigued & excited to see how this year at AMA's was going to go down.  Here are my BEST DRESSED of the night.....

VMAS 2014:Who dressed better than the rest?

VMA's last night, and you know I was making sure I did not miss the red carpet reveals. The fashion last night overall surprisingly wasn't too crazy or outrageous. Some made awful choices, some had outfit malfunctions, and some looked absolutely stunning. The overall show was put together well this year, and the performances were way beyond my expectations. ANACONDA with Nicki Minaj took the win for me, she is my favorite and she was my overall favorite artist of the night hands down! Here are pictures of who I think took the spot light in looking phenomenal last night on the red carpet & throughout the performances of the night. Do you agree with who I picked? Who was your favorite from this night of music, fashion, & performances?

For more VMA's fun, I found some pictures from celebrities INSTAGRAMS from the festivities last night & picked out my favorites I've seen on those as well.

LA Wasn't Loyal.

Last night I went out with my friends, normal Saturday night except... Chris Brown was going to be at the club! In addition to Chris Brown being out, appearances by other popular celebrities such as Justin Bieber & Russell Simmons. He was hosting a pre-party for the VMA'S. Of course my friends and I were not going to miss out on this event. It's VMA'S weekend, we wanted to have fun and meet celebrities. Unfortunately, what we planned to be an exciting night out, turned into a night of anything but normal. Many people out in LA last night at this party planned to have a blast with Chris Brown, but instead people heard blasts.. Gun shots shot at a local club right here in LA, here's a link to an article in US Weekly about the scene. LA was no joke last night.

TMZ interview with Katt Williams about shooting, must watch!

Rundown on Two Piece Sets: Too Matchy Matchy or Too Perfect?

I have noticed more and more lately that two piece matching outfits are becoming increasingly popular. I've seen them worn casually, professionally and formally. Do you think two piece ensembles are appropriate for any event? Well apparently, your opinion doesn't matter because there popping up everywhere! A positive to these matching outfits is that you they are versatile. You are able to wear them together, but you also have the option to mix and match those pieces with other choices in your closet. It's almost like your inventing multiple outfit possibilities with only buying a matching set? Would you ever consider wearing a two piece? Would you maybe buy a two piece to pair with options in your wardrobe? Some two piece sets I look at and say NO WAY, who would even think that much pattern would be flattering together.... ever. Well, I may be giving into the two piece set idea and putting this outfit to the test. I have looked up some styles I liked and that actually grew on me, I am now putting a new two piece ensemble next on my shopping list. I need something more versatile to add to my closet, I want to be able to buy one or two pieces of clothing, and turn them into multiple outfits. Styling is something that should be played with, messed with, and fun! Try something new, break outside your closet doors! See what else is out there to add to your fashion story, the world is your runway, make it incredible!

This list is from www.buzzfeed.com, it's about what teen girls in the 0 0's obsessed over. I thought this list was spot on & just brought back so many memories. The Beginning of My LA Story.

Sorry I have been MIA guys, I have been in LA for exactly two weeks now and it has been a crazy time so far! I am almost all set and moved into my new apartment in this wild city of LA! I started my classes this week at FIDM in Los Angeles & I am more than excited to see what this semester brings to the table. I know it is going to be time consuming and stressful, but I am ready for the challenge! I haven't been to college in two years, and walking in the halls of FIDM I was very nervous. Looking around me as so many students are taking the same journey as I am, we all are taking different roads to where we want to be, but we are all going to the same institution to get to our dream. It's amazing looking around and seeing all these new faces. It was kind of an awesome feeling looking around not knowing anyone, it was just a fresh slate to a new part of my life. Walking around campus with my oversized FIDM tote, with the sun shining down on me, I realized this is definitely the place that I want to be. Seeing all these unique people, all having their own style, own story, & own dreams, it was so inspiring to me! I can't wait to see where this journey in the fashion industry takes me. I have high hopes for myself & have the confidence to know that with my heart and dedication, I will be successful in what I want to do!  FIDM is going to open so many doors and kick me in the ass to realize my full potential. I know I have what it takes to be in this industry and to get through any obstacle that is thrown my way.

Besides going to school, I have been wandering the city & experiencing what living in California is going to be like. Starbucks on every corner, joggers on every cross walk, high priced parking, beautiful people, incredible views, and crowded clubs. You never know who you will run into, who you will meet, or what you will find when you are walking the streets or even driving the streets of LA, but that feeling of the unknown is a great feeling! Being able to explore a new place & meet new people has really opened my eyes. Traveling and following what you truly believe is something everyone needs to do in their life. No matter how long it takes to get to that journey, make it happen! Follow your heart and think about where you want to be, no matter the obstacles, you eventually will get to where you are meant to be in life!

Here are some pictures to the beginning of my LA story....
