I am going to be a California Girl!

Hey everybody, sorry that I have been MIA for a while, I have had some technical difficulties but I am back & ready to share gossip, news, and fun fashions with you all again! I thought I would share with all of you that I will  be moving from NY to LA within the next couple months! I am beyond excited for this opportunity, and so ready for this next step in my life. It is time for a new journey and fresh start for myself/ my career. I will be attending FIDM in downtown LA for Fashion Marketing, along with many other creative fashion enthusiasts! I am ready to be inspired again and show my true heart I have for the fashion industry, I am ready to make my mark! The city of spotlights, glitz, glamour, and fashion, I will finally be a part of this magical city. My dreams are finally falling into place and I am so thankful and blessed for this new step in my life. I have learned that everything happens for a reason and things happen when they are meant to happen. Take one step at a time towards your goals and you will get there in time, no matter how long it takes follow through with what you want and never lose the drive you had when you first started your journey. I put my journey on hold for a couple years to get my head on straight again and really think about the path I wanted to take, and I am so happy I did. I am now clear headed, focused, and have more drive than I did in the beginning of my fashion story. Now I am ready to open it back up, add more pages, and hopefully have a happy ending! I will be sharing my story with all of you and of course still keeping you all updated on the latest trends, my favorite personal fashions, tips on beauty/fashion and so much more!

Take the Plunge

Looks like fashion is taking a plunge into the new warmer seasons. Necklines are taking a deep dive this Spring. Dresses, jumpsuits, and bodysuits are having deeper necklines along with bold colors, textures & mesh. Spring is arriving slowly but these fashions are moving fast, everyone needs to have at least one of these hot looks in their wardrobe. You don't want to feel left out this season with all the great new options and styles! This new plunge is fun and sexy, it brings the attention to your body, time to show it off! Spring has sprung and hibernation season is finally over, let's take advantage of it while we can! Royal blue, coral, & lemon yellow are popping up everywhere this season and they are blooming beautifully! These colors are very popular along with many textures and of course animal print (leopard) is still taking charge this Spring as well. Do you finally have the "Spring" in your step to shop for these essentials for this upcoming season? I know I am ready to put my sweaters and boots away to trade them in for maxis and gladiator sandals. Who else is with me?

Spring Teaser

Yesterday it was 50 & sunny, today it's a blizzard & up to 20 inches of snow is expected here in upstate NY! How can mother nature mess with us this way?! To think a week or so ago I was in weather with palm trees, blue waters, and warm sand between my toes to zero degree weather, high winds, and snow. I was lucky enough to be called off from my job today, so now I can join the group of Rochesterians who get a snow day!

Today I am snuggled up in bed, reading the latest vogue with a full cup of coffee enjoying my snow day! I won't be leaving this house today that's for sure! I am hoping this is the last and final snow day I will be having this year. I don't want to see this snow on the ground, I would like to see the green grass underneath it instead! I am praying that this weather goes away and for good! What are your favorite activities to do on snow days? Today I think is a Netflix kind of day, time to catch up on my favorite shows & on some old school movies. Stay warm everyone! We're half way to the weekend, we can do it!:)

Let's Add Some Flare to Our Friday

  It's Friday! Time for the work to end & the chaos to begin! I am sick of winter clothes. I am ready to switch my closet over to skirts, crop tops, and strappy sandals. I am over the leggings, fur vests, and over-sized sweaters. HEY don't get me wrong, I love being comfy, but I am ready to have fun with my style again! Summer time for me is always more fun to style myself for & shop for. I am ready to add some flare to my wardrobe again.

  This summer season we are seeing a lot of flamboyant colors, floral prints, & flare. I may have to give some of these a try (within reason) to add to my wardrobe. I don't normally go for flare or very bright colors, but hey each season I try to add something different to my wardrobe than before. I like having an adverse style. Of course my style will always be unique to me, but I like adding a different flare to it as each season and year goes by. We'll see what I have up my sleeve for this upcoming season, I am ready for a change & some sun would be nice!!

Celeb Copy Cat

      Everyone is trying to dress as if they are a celebrity, especially after this weekend looking at all the fashion trends at the Oscars. Of course in the daily life of most, the elegance of what was worn that night is not realistic. All of the latest  and greatest celebs were there rocking their hollywood looks and flashing those million dollar smiles, but hey let's remember we can look just like them!
   Lupita Nyong’o was and has always been a WOW factor at the awards with her outfit choices. She always seems to shake it up on the red carpet & in all the breaking fashion news. Inspired by her fabulous look and style, I chose one of her outfits to show you guys how you to can look like your favorite superstar. Every item in the outfit I put together is $50 & under!! Everyone likes a good fashion steal and with these shopping bargains can help you get the look like your favorite celeb! This and any other outfit you see in magazines or on TV, know that you can put a look together just as fabulous with half the budget! Shopping shouldn't be about how much you spend, it's about getting the look you want & feeling like a superstar in your own wardrobe! But hey let's face it, all of us want that star treatment every once in a while, so splurge on some fashion favorites when you get the chance, spoil yourself! Chanel 2014 Spring/Summer Collection

I am IN LOVE with Chanel's new collection for these upcoming seasons. The pieces in the collections fit so well together. The colors pop out at you & each piece of clothing looks like pure art. Lagerfeld never fails to impress the world with his new creations and ideas. This new collection for him was like a huge piece of artwork. He also added a funky 90's flare to his apparel this year, I guess history in fashion can repeat itself! Let's not forget the accessories for this collection, OMG they are so original & go perfectly with each outfit. Metallic, pearls, and paint brush strokes are just a few of the intricate details of all his accessories.  Chanel has always been a fashion favorite of mine and it always will be. Lagerfeld keeps us on our toes, keeps us interested and always wanting more. We never know what to expect from this ingenious designer, all I know is Chanel fashion will never die.

Feeling Blue

It's Humppp Dayy! We are half way there everyone, our busy week is almost over! As all of you know I work in retail, and in a lot of my shipments lately we have been getting a ton of blue! Blue shirts, skirts, body suits, dresses, jumpsuits etc. 2014 Pantone colors put Dazzling Blue at the #1 spot for this year! How blue is your wardrobe?
