Happy Memorial Day Everyone!

Today is a bright and sunny day for everyone to bbq & party, but we also have to remember why we even have this day.. Thank You to everyone that serves our country now and in the past. We have our freedom and continue to have our freedom because of all of your hard work, big hearts, and dedication to our country. 

Red White & Blue are obviously the colors to rock today. What are you doing with your Memorial Day? I know most are drinking, at the beach, having a bbq, etc.. BUT ME I have to work:( like a few others I know.  Working on a beautiful day like this is never fun.  BUT HEY I have some of the day to enjoy the sun & time with friends. I hope everyone can enjoy the weather, their day off(if you have off) & please drive safely if you are drinking. 

 

 

Chanel Obsession

I have always been obsessed with Chanel and loved fashion as you all know. I have been looking at fashion advertisements a lot lately since I am going back to school for Marketing. I enjoy advertising, marketing, etc. The business side of fashion I have always been interested in because it has always come so easy for me. I have always been creative and good at styling things together. I am going back to school to pursue getting a degree, but I still want fashion to be a part of my future. ANYWAYS. I have been looking at fashion ads (magazines,internet,store ads,etc.) like I said before, and here are some of my favorite ones I have found just web searching.

Makeup Monday; Prom Edition

Hey Hey! Hope everyone had a great weekend and had some fun. I know it is prom season and everyone is going through their final crunch time at school. My cousin just had her ball this weekend and she looked gorgeous! I miss getting all dressed up like that & the parties after.. other than that I don't miss much from High School :x BUT ANYWAYS!... It's Makeup Monday..  and I thought I would put up some pictures of styles that I thought would be great ideas for anyone who is going to prom/ball and needs ideas, or maybe someone you know that wants advice or ideas. Here are some pictures of makeup and I actually might through in some hairstyles just to add something new to the mix! Take a look & I hope they help some of the girls that are so undecided about the look they want for their special night!

Since we are talking about proms, thought why not through in some pictures from when I had mine. What do you guys think about my look? Do you think dresses still look the same? Do you think styles have changed or have mostly stayed the same? Looking back I probably would have changed my dress, but hey at the time I loved it & I think I looked beautiful along with my friends for our dances!

My MET Favorites

 Anne Hathaway in this stunning Valentino Gown.

 Blake Lively not only was wearing this gorgeous dress from GUCCI, she was also wearing 50 carat champagne diamond earrings!

 Cameron Diaz is wearing this sleek & sexy body fitted royal blue gown from Stella McCartney. It was probably one of the more simpler ensembles, yet still looked incredible and elegant enough for this event.

 Miranda Kerr walked down the red carpet wearing one of my favorite designers, Michael Kors.

 Taylor Swift is not my favorite musician, but I thought this J. Mendel dress looked amazing on her & it was something I wouldn't see her normally wearing. The fact that she stepped out of the box of what she normally would wear made me like her look.

We don't see Mary Kate Olsen in the spotlight too much anymore, but when we do at these red carpet events, she never disappoints me. I love her Vintage Chanel look she had on the red carpet at the gala and I thought it fit her style perfectly.

Thirsty Thursday

Hey Hey It's Thursday!

Tonight I know a lot of people like to go out, Thursday is the night to go downtown with the girls or a bunch of friends and have fun. What do you think is appropriate attire when you go out with the girls? I go out to bars and restaurants all the time and think... did you look in the mirror before you left.. or those clothes shrunk in the wash you need to buy new clothes. Clothes that are made for teens/young adult ladies are becoming shorter and shorter or are becoming more see through. BUT WAIT don't get me wrong, I do like some of the clothing styles, trends, and looks of a lot of designers and pieces out for this upcoming summer. I just feel like women and I'll even through men into the mix, need to pay more attention to what is appropriate to wear for what they are doing. Whether you are going out to dinner, to a party, to a bar, etc. There are different types of attire that should be worn or that should be acceptable I guess. I know many bars and "clubs" have dress codes, but I feel as if 50% of the people let into these places with so called "dress codes" don't even follow it or are up to par with it anyways.. So what's the point of a dress code? What is an outfit pet peeve of yours? Where is your favorite place to go out on a Thursday night? (if you do go out) What is your favorite outfit/piece of clothing from your closet that you love wearing when going out? Here are two outfits I put together that I think can be appropriate for the summer time to go out in.

Comment on this post, post pictures of outfits, etc. I like hearing feedback, reading peoples comments, looking at outfits and even getting new ideas for outfits that maybe I wouldn't think of.

P.S. Since it is Thirsty Thursday, for  those of you who are of age (21) to drink.. here are some of my favorite drinks when I go out. If you haven't tried any of these.. I think they are a must to try!
